provides a large, partially covered deck
with plenty of seating for afternoon games
and evening BBQ's. It is nestled
against pristine forest service land and is
a minutes walk to a public forest service lake access on
the beautiful 80 mile long Lake Koocanusa.
This
unique vacation rental is comfortably furnished with a common
area that invites relaxation and offers a television with satellite
dish, VCR/DVD, a stereo with CD player, and lots of games. The
windows are
overlooking the lake - delighting our visitors with views of awesome
sunsets and fantastic bird watching, including herons, bald eagles,
ospreys and loons. For lakefront fun we offer the use of a private
lake access for water enjoyment and BBQ's.
Koocanusa Lake boasts being the best sport
fishing area including rainbow trout, west
slope cutthroat, brook trout, kokanee salmon
(blueback), burbot (ling), whitefish and
Kamloops (a strain of rainbow trout).
The lake has a maximum depth of 370 feet.. Floating around on an air mattress is
also a great way to
while away an afternoon.
The
Koocanusa House is ideally located 6 miles north of the charming
town
of Eureka that offers a variety of shopping opportunities including
gifts and antiques as well as the usual grocery stores, pharmacy
and restaurants.
Rexford/Eureka
is located in a county that is 85% National Forest, which means
un-limited recreational pursuits and NO CROWDS. Tucked into the
very northwest corner of the state we boast soaring peaks, rushing
rivers and numerous lakes. An added bonus is our close proximity
to Canada that offers additional recreational opportunities, restaurants
and shopping. We are the best kept secret
in Montana. |
